Minecraft is the creation of a single Swedish man known to the gaming community as Notch. For some unknown reason, the game has suddenly exploded onto the spotlight in gaming sites and magazines across the world, yet a large number of people still don't know quite what it's all about. On the surface, it appears to be a pointless exploration game with retro, blocky visuals, and that's accurate to some degree. With its pixelated charm and incredibly large, procedurally generated worlds, one of the biggest allures of the game comes from just how much there is to discover and investigate.
